Vylo Holdings (Pty) Ltd is a juristic representative of Discovery Life Limited. This page explains, at a practical level, how privacy matters are handled on this site and where the official Discovery privacy and POPIA resources can be accessed.

How privacy is handled here

When you submit a contact form, calculator gate form, email enquiry or WhatsApp enquiry through this website, the information you provide may include personal information such as your name, phone number, email address and the financial products you want to discuss. That information is used only for enquiry handling, advisory follow-up, record keeping and lawful servicing purposes.

Because Vylo operates within the Discovery ecosystem, product applications, servicing activity, underwriting, claims handling and some records management may also involve Discovery Life Limited or other relevant Discovery entities where appropriate.

What information may be processed

  • Basic contact information such as your name, email address, phone number and location details you choose to provide.
  • Product enquiry information such as medical aid, life cover, investments, retirement, banking or estate planning interests.
  • Supporting information shared during an advice process, application, review, complaint or servicing interaction.
  • Website and communication records needed to respond to your request, keep records and manage compliance obligations.

Your POPIA rights

Under POPIA and PAIA, you may have the right to ask what information is held about you, request correction of inaccurate information, object to certain processing, request deletion where lawful, manage marketing preferences and raise a complaint if you believe information has been handled improperly.

Discovery's privacy centre states that some rights may be limited where information must be retained for active products, cancelled policies subject to retention periods, legal obligations, compliance duties or product administration.

How to exercise your privacy rights

  • Use Discovery's online privacy rights forms if your request relates to Discovery-held information or an active Discovery product.
  • Alternatively, use the Information Regulator's prescribed PAIA or POPIA forms and send them to Discovery's privacy team at privacy@discovery.co.za.
  • If your request relates only to an enquiry made directly to Vylo through this site, you may also contact neal@noubou.co.za so the request can be routed appropriately.
